There are a lot of different options available nowadays when it comes to Instagram growth. So many that, at times, it can seem a little daunting. Companies promising you extra followers or rapid growth – can they really do all they claim to be able to?
In this article, I review Growthoid, – a service I decided to use and regretted – how it works, whether it’s safe and also see how it compares to some new services on the market.
How Does Growthoid Work?
“We help you get more real Instagram followers. No fakes, no bots” – this is the information that is written on Growthoid’s site. Reassuring words to see, especially when you know there are so many scams around. Yet, this is most definitely not the case.
Growthoid states that, upon signing up with them, they’ll connect you with your own Account Manager who will engage with your target audience. They list their steps as being firstly to make a list of accounts that have similar interests to your audience, so they are able to target people who may be interested in your content. Then, they claim to “grab their awareness” (great English there, right?), by manually targeting people who fit your ideal demographic. Finally, after this, they claim that you’ll see an immediate increase of Instagram followers.
The reality seems to be a little more grim. I, regrettably, decided to use Growthoid for my own Instagram and learned the hard way not to trust them.
I chose their ‘Premium’ plan at $99 a month. Know what I got for that? A whole bunch of nothing. Nada. Zilch. The only thing I actually saw was $99 being taken from my account each month without any growth to my Instagram at all, and despite my numerous attempts, I was unable to cancel my membership due to a lack of communication from them.
Is Growthoid A Scam?
A simple search of Growthoid reviews reveals the reality of how Growthoid really works. Review after review states that Growthoid takes your money and pretty much does nothing to assist your Instagram account (as was the case for me); and in fact, may even get it suspended as a result of bots being used.
If you hadn’t guessed already from the above then yes, there are definitely aspects of Growthoid’s’ service that seems sketchy, to say the least. The negative reviews are hard to ignore. Money being taken without any work being done, bots being used and consequently IG accounts becoming banned for breach of conduct. To make matters worse, it’s near to impossible to get in touch with them. The only method of communication they have ‘available’ is email, which is never responded to.
What Is The Best Alternative To Growthoid?
It’s hard to trust any online service again after being subjected to a scam. Really hard. So you’ll forgive me if I was so cautious, I had almost become cynical when it came to enlisting the help of another IG growth company.
Back to the drawing board. After hours and hours of research, I finally decided on FollowFox. They seemed to have great reviews and all the information I could find suggested that they were legit, and could really go a long way to helping see REAL growth on my Instagram.

- Real, organic IG growth. You’ll start to see pretty early on that the followers you receive are real people, real businesses – real accounts. After going through what I did with Growthoid, you learn to recognize when something is legit and when it’s not. What’s more, the growth you receive is from people who are actually interested in your IG page. A win win!
- Great prices. We will talk more about prices below but, overall, FollowFox offers a very cost-efficient service.
FollowFox Pricing
As mentioned above, FollowFox offers a cost-efficient service. You can choose between three different packages, depending on the type of growth you want to achieve, and your budget. I chose the Influencer package which is $89 a month. There is also a cheaper option called Personal ($59), which focuses on individual IG pages looking for a bit of help gaining new followers. Then there is the most expensive package, Business, at $229 a month. While this may seem like quite a steep price, the FollowFox team stops at nothing to ensure your business IG page receives as much organic growth as possible.

Reviews are what got me to consider FollowFox in the first place. The majority are really positive and seem genuine, and I myself – a customer of FollowFox – can totally understand why. Here are some of the reviews I found online after a quick search.

Weighing things up, it’s clear to see what the best choice is here. Sometimes you have to have experienced a scam in order to recognize the signs of one. FollowFox is everything that Growthoid is not. Honest, friendly, professional, affordable and IT WORKS!
